Hi, I’m Debbie Lynn
I’ve been teaching Pilates classes in Lincoln since 1996 and have helped many longstanding clients learn to enjoy movement for wellbeing.
I’m passionate about my clients’ progress and want to help you achieve the strength and freedom of movement that will improve your quality of life.
This may mean moving through your day with improved comfort and ease, or enjoying sports or hobbies.
I discovered Pilates as a professional dancer, then went on to train with the world-famous teacher and founder of Body Control Pilates Lynne Robinson on her first ever course back in 1996. I’ve had my studio here in Lincoln for over two decades and helped many clients discover the benefits of Pilates.
Like all good teachers, I still love to learn! I attend many further development courses to keep up with the latest Pilates practice and techniques.
Discover affordable, personalised Pilates designed to meet your unique needs. Unlike large, impersonal classes at gyms or health clubs, my sessions offer focused, hands-on guidance to ensure proper alignment and posture, helping you get the most out of every workout.
With small class sizes, I tailor each session to the abilities and goals of my clients, offering a near personal training experience without the hefty price tag!
Whether you're attending in person or joining online, I bring my extensive expertise in matwork, reformer, and studio equipment to help you reach your fitness goals.
My job is to plan a programme that will suit your personal needs and abilities.
We start with the basics that everybody needs on the 6 week course, then via the Hub you will be able to work with me to find the perfect solution for you.
We all have different ways of learning and it’s up to me as your teacher to help you get the best from every class. Whether you’re a beginner or have done Pilates before, I’ll take you through the exercises in a way that works for you and allows you to progress at your own pace.
Consultants, physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths refer patients to me for safe exercise to support rehabilitation.
I see a lot of clients with back pain and have specialist qualifications in lower back pain and bone health.
Whatever your ability and personal goals, Pilates is a fantastic discipline to keep you fit and healthy. Regular classes can help prevent injuries, strengthen the body, improve your functional movement and boost your confidence.

"Debbie is a wonderful and inspirational Pilates teacher. As a Chartered Physiotherapist, I have benefited from working with Debbie, both as a client and as a clinician. She has a huge wealth of knowledge of modern Pilates and is able to modify her exercise routines for individuals, specialist groups and for rehabilitation after injury. Her verve and vigour are legendary and she is an excellent example of how Pilates keeps you youthful and lithe, encouraging others to achieve their best. She always ensures that her clients can perform the Pilates essential exercises before progressing to classes or the Pilates Reformer. This gives me confidence in recommending her to my patients as I know that they will be able to move forward without risk of re-injury. Several patients with longstanding lower back pain have been able to make huge improvements in their balance, core stability and general wellbeing. I thoroughly recommend Debbie for her cheerful, friendly and professional approach to teaching Pilates and I wish her every success in her business."

"I have been a client of Debbie Lynn for many years due to my spinal issues. She was instrumental in improving my non-existent core strength prior to undergoing a spinal operation. This preoperative strengthening was of immeasurable benefit to my post-operative rehabilitation. Although the studio offers group sessions, I opted for 1-to-1 sessions. I found her to be very knowable in spinal issues, anatomy, physiology and pathology, and how to tackle the issues pertaining to my condition. Continued therapy over the years has certainly improved my quality of life, mobility and well being. I can certainly fully endorse her value in turning the corner to a better quality of life, through detailed and structured pilates therapy. Highly recommended."

I have been a client of Debbie Lynn for more years than I care to remember - maybe 20? - since my GP recommended her because of a lower back pain. I am 83 now, and I remain spookily flexible, which I can only attribute to her Pilates. Debbie has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the human body, and with eyes like a hawk she misses nothing. She can spot if you're a centimetre off straight, or if you are holding tension where you shouldn't, or if you're breathing the wrong way or even at all. She can alert a client to a problem that they didn't know they had - her excellent relationships with the medical profession, alone tells much. She knows every client in detail, so even in a studio class of, say, 8, everything is individually tailored . She is loved by her clients and I have every intention of attending her classes when I am 103.

Debbie effortlessly manages to combine professionalism with ‘the personal touch’ and therefore helps all her clients to achieve the maximum possible benefit from her Pilates classes. Both in her fully equipped centrally located Lincoln studio and on well organised Zoom meetings, she shares her extensive knowledge of Pilates exercises to help her students reach their full potential.
Jill Pearce
I have been a client of Debbie for many years. She is an excellent teacher, always encouraging and exceptionally knowledgeable about Pilates and how to configure the exercises to best suit her individual clients. She is very highly regarded and has clients who are recommended to her by senior orthopaedic consultants and physiotherapists. She is very supportive and relates easily to clients of all ages and abilities. I thoroughly enjoy her classes and see them as vital to my individual health and well being.
Bernadette Trzcinski
Debbie is an excellent Pilates instructor. Class sizes are small and there is a personal friendly atmosphere. What I really like is that Debbie corrects you and ensures good technique which is so important to get the most out of Pilates. She has very good anatomical and medical knowledge and considers individual’s weaknesses making adjustments where necessary. Access via zoom is great when travelling to class is not convenient and Debbie does check on the technique of those on zoom too. Debbie’s Pilates has helped my hip pain, my posture and my balance. I enjoy the classes and they have improved my quality of life.
Donna Scott
I have been a client of Debbie’s for many years.
Always up - beat , kindly and professional , Debbie takes a personal interest in all her clients .
Her classes are also good fun and sociable , whether in The Studio or on Zoom.
The flexibility of making up classes unavoidably missed is very welcome.
Debbie is an absolute perfectionist , with hawk eyes , and is strict about our Pilates moves being correct.
She talks us through the moves , demonstrating where necessary. She explains the anatomy of our exercises.
Her focus on balance keeps us aware and confident!
Debbie , unsurprisingly , has a very loyal following !
Jan Cross
I am learning with Debbie how to move through my everyday life with balance, strength with improved posture. She treats each of us as an individual in our class and helps us each to do the exercise in a safe and correct way to develop good muscle memory. I am grateful for all I am learning with her.

just love the videos I was sent. They didn't feel like an ordinary video it was more like Debble was in the room with me, giving me advice, confidence and encouragement to do the exercises as well as I could.
